Description
A proud king vulture sits on its perch at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida. King vultures use their powerful beaks to open an animal carcass. Younger, weaker vultures wait for the king to do this first. The king vulture's senses are not sharp enough to find live prey. (zoo exhibit)
