Description
This was an old cemetery in Rockport. Though quite old, many American flags had been planted, so it was good to see these people are still remembered.

I'm with Doug on this. Love the long shadows cast from the headstones. Lends an air of melancholy to the image. I always feel sad when I see a neglected headstone, tilting and covered in moss. You mention there were flags on some of the graves, so people do remember. PIF in Wisconsin Flowers.

Thank you so much, Karen! I, too, get sad when I see neglected stones but am glad that these people's graves are tended to and remembered. I appreciate the share!

Nice shot Richard! I like the long shadows you captured on this quiet hillside. Call me odd, but I enjoy wandering thru old cemeteries, reading headstones, comparing birth and death dates, learning about family members' relationships… L&F
Richard Bryce and Family replied:
Many thanks, Doug! I appreciate it. I don't think it's odd at all - it's very interesting indeed!
