Description
This website does a far better job of explaining it than I can here: http://new-brunswick.net/Saint_John/reversingfalls/reversing.html I saw it both when it was raging as well as when it was calm. What was amazing, too, is how the water level rises. When we docked, we walked right off the ship, but when we re-boarded we needed to go up the ramp because the entrance had dramatically risen!

Great shot of the "Reversing Falls" as they call it in Saint John.....I was there and your title "Reversing Rapids" is much more accurate. L/F
