Description
I visited the Butterfly Garden at the Bronx Zoo and saw this lovely bowl of fruit. I knew it wouldn't be long before a butterfly (or two) stopped to feed, so I kept my camera on the fruit and waited. Sure enough, these two butterflies flew down a short time later. A larger canvas print of this image was donated to a charity dinner in November 2011 to help a friend with breast cancer and will also be donated to a fundraising dinner for the CHD Coalition. a group that works with children with heart problems and their families.

Richard, this is a very beautiful image with a great message... I love how the tattered butterfly and the one with the undamaged wings both felt at home dining like royalty. Very touching to read how you are using this exceptional picture for a good cause to help your friend and those in need. God bless you, and thank you for posting this image for the enjoyment of fellow artists and prospective clients! L/F
