The black and white lends a sense of desolation to the image, which is probably correct in the picture's intent. A really good photograph with fine composition and depth. Nicely done.

Now as a resident of Nova Scotia,you know I had to stop and admire this! I am so glad you chose to highlight the village instead of the lighthouse which we have seen countless times. People tend to forget that Peggy's Cove is a year round home to many people. I love the black and white use. Such a crisp image with great details!
